A clinical pharmacist role is available in Basalt, CO, offering a contract position designed to support medication management during a critical EMR transition. The assignment begins immediately and is projected through mid-August 2026, with flexibility to adjust the end date based on your start.
Work Schedule:
- Rotating shifts, 40 hours per week
- Start times at 6:30 AM or 8:00 AM, Monday through Friday
- Rotating weekend shifts from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Core Responsibilities:
- Prepare and dispense medication orders in alignment with physician directives
- Maintain medication inventory in patient care areas
- Ensure safe, cost-effective medication therapy following protocols and regulations
- Review medication orders and maintain computerized patient medication records
- Compound and dispense pharmaceuticals, including IV admixtures and chemotherapy preparations
- Monitor drug therapies for safety and effectiveness, perform pharmacokinetic dosing
- Provide clinical consultation, drug information, and documentation to healthcare teams
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and serve on the Code Response Team
Required Qualifications:
- Active Colorado Pharmacist License in good standing
- Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a Bachelor of Science degree
- Current BLS (American Heart Association) certification
- Current ACLS (American Heart Association) certification
- Flu vaccination required between October 1 and April 1 (no exemptions)
- Must have EPIC EMR experience; Meditech training is a plus
