Clinical Pharmacist | Baton Rouge, Louisiana

A healthcare facility in the Baton Rouge area is seeking a skilled Clinical Pharmacist with critical care expertise for a 13-week contract opportunity. This role supports the Cardiovascular ICU and Medical ICU2 units, providing vital clinical pharmaceutical services during day shifts.

Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Contract Duration: 13 weeks, starting June 2
Schedule:

• Days, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Every other week (EOW)

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive clinical pharmacy services in a critical care setting
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary ICU teams to optimize pharmacologic patient care
• Manage medication therapy and ensure safety and efficacy for critically ill patients
• Maintain thorough documentation within the EPIC electronic medical record system

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• At least 1-year recent experience as a Critical Care/Clinical Pharmacist with Level 1 trauma exposure
• Louisiana pharmacist license in-hand
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR system is required
• Board Certification preferred, but not mandatory
• PGY-2 residency in critical care is highly preferred
• Will consider pharmacists undertaking their first travel assignment
