Clinical Pharmacist in Baton Rouge, LA

A healthcare facility in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist specializing in Critical Care for a 13-week contract assignment. This opportunity involves providing expert pharmaceutical care in the Cardiovascular and Medical Intensive Care Units, supporting critical patients in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Job Type: Contract, 13 weeks
Schedule:

• Days, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Every other week (EOW)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver clinical pharmacy services in the CV ICU and Medical ICU2, ensuring optimal medication management for critically ill patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust pharmaceutical care plans.
• Monitor patient responses to medications and adjust therapy accordingly.
• Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system to document interventions and clinical observations.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year recent experience as a Critical Care/Clinical Pharmacist with prior Level 1 trauma center exposure.
• LA pharmacist license in-hand is required.
• Board certification preferred but not mandatory.
• PGY-2 residency highly preferred.
• Competency in EPIC EMR essential.
• Open to pharmacists seeking their first travel assignment.
