Pharmacist Clinical | Baton Rouge, Louisiana

A healthcare facility in the New Orleans area is seeking a Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist for a 13-week contract position beginning June 2nd. This daytime role involves providing specialized pharmacy support in the Cardiovascular ICU and Medical ICU2, working every other week from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Schedule:

• Days, 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.
• Every other week (EOW)

Responsibilities:

• Deliver expert clinical pharmacy services in a Level 1 trauma setting
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize medication therapy in critical care units
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and guidelines
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system efficiently for patient care documentation and communication

Qualifications:

• Minimum of one year recent experience as a Critical Care/Clinical Pharmacist in a Level 1 trauma center
• LA pharmacist license in-hand
• Board Certification preferred but not required
• PGY-2 residency highly preferred, though candidates without this credential will be considered
• Must be proficient with EPIC EMR
• Open to first-time travel pharmacists seeking a new opportunity
