Clinical Staff Pharmacist - Bellaire, Texas

An opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical care during overnight shifts at a women’s pavilion healthcare site. This contract position involves working 7 nights on and 7 nights off from 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM, beginning May 18 for 14 weeks. The role requires a commitment to high-quality medication management for patients ranging from newborns to adults.

Responsibilities include ensuring the safe, accurate, and timely processing of medication orders using the EPIC electronic medical record system. The pharmacist will assess medication appropriateness based on patient diagnosis, weight, allergies, and potential drug interactions, aiming to prevent and resolve drug-related problems. Maintaining rigorous standards for aseptic technique and infection control during sterile product preparation is essential. The pharmacist will also support and uphold these practices among the pharmacy team.

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years inpatient pharmacy experience, preferably with pediatrics
• Valid Texas pharmacist license
• ACPE IV certification
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control standards

• Pavilion for Women Site, Houston, TX (contract position in Bellaire, TX area)

Schedule:

• Overnight shifts, 7 nights on / 7 nights off
• 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM
