A large, bustling hospital within the Texas Medical Center is seeking an experienced Oncology Inpatient Pharmacist for a contract position with the potential to transition into a permanent role. Schedule: Day shifts
Duration: 13 weeks+ with ASAP start; temp-to-hire option available

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate directly with the patient care team through rounding to offer expert medication recommendations and interventions
• Develop and update treatment protocols using Epic and Epic Beacon systems
• Facilitate seamless transition of care from inpatient to outpatient oncology pharmacy services
• Manage non-formulary medication requests to ensure patient access to required therapies
• Coordinate specialty medication distribution and administration tailored to oncology patients’ needs

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Texas pharmacist license and Texas IV certification
• Minimum three years of inpatient pharmacy experience, with a strong background in oncology
• Experience working with Epic and Epic Beacon preferred to optimize electronic health record utilization
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in a hospital setting
