Clinical Pharmacist in Bellefonte, PA

This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a clinical pharmacist seeking a dynamic role with diverse clinical responsibilities. The position offers a unique chance to work across multiple critical care units, including the Emergency Department (ED) and Coronary Care Unit (CCU), as well as contributing to the antibiotic stewardship team. Unlike larger hospitals where pharmacists may be limited to a single unit, this role provides broad clinical exposure and professional growth.

Location: The position is based in State College, Pennsylvania, a vibrant community known for its beautiful surroundings and as the home of Penn State University.

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify medication orders and profiles for appropriateness
• Deliver clinical pharmacy services tailored to specific patient populations
• Provide drug information support to healthcare teams
• Participate in multi-disciplinary rounds and team meetings in assigned practice areas
• Monitor drug therapy and handle pharmacist-managed consults in accordance with protocols
• Engage in acute patient care scenarios, including cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma management within ED and critical care settings

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
• PGY1 residency or at least three years of current clinical pharmacy experience
• Valid Pennsylvania pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain licensure
• Experience with Meditech electronic health records is a plus

Schedule:

• Primarily day shifts with variable days and afternoons
• 8-hour shifts
