Clinical Pharmacist | Bellefonte, Pennsylvania

This direct hire opportunity is for a Clinical Pharmacist who will engage in diverse clinical settings, including the Emergency Department (ED), Critical Care Unit (CCU), and the antibiotic stewardship team. Unlike larger hospitals where pharmacists may be limited to a single floor, this role offers the unique chance to broaden clinical expertise by working across multiple units, enhancing patient care through varied clinical practices.

The position involves serving as a unit-based clinical pharmacist collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams in both the ED and ICU. Responsibilities include medication order entry and verification, reviewing medication profiles for appropriateness, providing clinical services tailored to specific patient populations, and offering drug information support. Active participation in rounds and acute patient scenarios such as cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma will be a critical part of this role, along with drug therapy monitoring and pharmacist-managed consults per established protocols.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD degree required
• PGY-1 residency or at least 3 years of current clinical pharmacy experience
• PA pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain licensure in Pennsylvania
• Strong clinical skills in acute care settings, particularly ED and critical care

Location:

Schedule/Hours:

• Variable days and afternoons, primarily 8-hour day shifts
