Clinical Pharmacist in Berrien Springs, MI

An inpatient pharmacist opportunity is available at a hospital just outside South Bend, IN, seeking two dedicated professionals to support inpatient pharmacy services for a 13-week contract starting June 1. This role is ideal for pharmacists experienced in hospital settings or new graduates with proficiency in Cerner order verification.

Shift Options:

• 6:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. (Day shift)
• 11:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. (Day/Evening shift)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate order verification using Cerner Meds Manager
• Utilize Cerner EMR, Pyxis, and Pharmacy Keeper to manage medication orders and inventory
• Support inpatient pharmacy distribution including IV room preparation
• Manage hospital-based medications including IV antibiotics, anticoagulants, and electrolytes
• Ensure compliance with hospital pharmacy protocols and patient safety standards

Qualifications:

• Licensed pharmacist with inpatient pharmacy experience or new graduates with Cerner order verification expertise
• Proficiency in Cerner EMR and Meds Manager order verification process is required
• Familiarity with Pyxis and Pharmacy Keeper preferred
• Knowledge of inpatient hospital pharmacy distribution and IV preparation processes
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility location
