Clinical Pharmacist | Bixby, Oklahoma

A clinical pharmacist role is available to oversee the daily operations of specialty practice areas within a hospital pharmacy department, including IV room management, diversion/narcotics control, informatics, and residency program coordination. This position also involves providing direct pharmaceutical care as a staff pharmacist when needed.

Key responsibilities include supporting users, conducting maintenance, troubleshooting systems, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. The pharmacist will coordinate system upgrades and deliver education, acting as the subject matter expert in operational specialty areas. Additionally, they will serve as preceptors to pharmacy students and residents, providing essential training and guidance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
• Clinical pharmacy experience within a hospital setting
• Completion of either:
  • Accredited PGY-1 and PGY-2 Pharmacy Residency or fellowships; or
  • PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency or fellowship plus 3+ years clinical pharmacy experience; or
  • 5+ years clinical pharmacy experience without residency or fellowship
• Active pharmacist license in good standing with the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy
• Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support/Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ALS/ACLS)
• Compliance with state requirements such as sterile compounding

Preferred:

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree
• Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) certification or other nationally recognized specialty certifications
