Provide clinical pharmacy expertise in a dynamic 200+ bed community hospital setting, supporting quality patient care through comprehensive medication management and collaboration with healthcare teams.
Location: Boyce, LA
Schedule:
- Four 10-hour shifts per week
- Rotating schedule including 6AM-4:30PM, 7AM-5:30PM, or 12:30PM-11PM shifts
- Every other weekend off
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations
- Consult with physicians and nurses on medication therapy and clinical concerns
- Apply pharmacokinetics principles for dose adjustments and patient safety
- Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for medication management and documentation
Desired Qualifications:
- Active pharmacist license
- Clinical pharmacy experience in hospital or similar healthcare settings
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems
- Strong communication skills for effective interdisciplinary collaboration
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
