A healthcare facility in Brockton, MA is seeking a dedicated Clinical Pharmacist for a contract engagement lasting approximately 6-8 weeks, with potential for conversion based on performance and fit. This role requires a licensed Massachusetts pharmacist ready to start as soon as possible and willing to work primarily from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional shifts from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense prescription medications carefully and accurately.
- Monitor patient medication compliance and identify over-usage trends.
- Ensure all medication supplies are maintained in accordance with legal standards.
- Advise patients on medication usage, side effects, and answer related inquiries.
- Manage confidential patient records meticulously.
- Educate patients on medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
- Provide health services including smoking cessation support, blood pressure, and cholesterol management.
- Compound and prepare medications and sterile solutions following strict procedures.
- Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and address drug-related issues.
- Maintain pharmaceutical and medical inventory efficiently.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Must hold an active Massachusetts Pharmacist license.
- Experience in retail pharmacy settings is welcome; training will be provided as needed.
- Ability to adapt and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
