Clinical Pharmacist | Brockton, Massachusetts

A healthcare facility in Brockton, MA is seeking a dedicated Clinical Pharmacist for a contract engagement lasting approximately 6-8 weeks, with potential for conversion based on performance and fit. This role requires a licensed Massachusetts pharmacist ready to start as soon as possible and willing to work primarily from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional shifts from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescription medications carefully and accurately.
• Monitor patient medication compliance and identify over-usage trends.
• Ensure all medication supplies are maintained in accordance with legal standards.
• Advise patients on medication usage, side effects, and answer related inquiries.
• Manage confidential patient records meticulously.
• Educate patients on medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
• Provide health services including smoking cessation support, blood pressure, and cholesterol management.
• Compound and prepare medications and sterile solutions following strict procedures.
• Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks.
• Coordinate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and address drug-related issues.
• Maintain pharmaceutical and medical inventory efficiently.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Must hold an active Massachusetts Pharmacist license.
• Experience in retail pharmacy settings is welcome; training will be provided as needed.
• Ability to adapt and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
