This full time, permanent opportunity is ideal for an experienced hospital pharmacist looking to grow within a collaborative, high acuity setting.

Position Details

  • Full time | Direct Hire
  • Day Shift: Monday-Friday; 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • Salary: $107k - $154k/year

Responsibilities

  • Verify medication orders for safety, accuracy, and appropriate dosing.
  • Review patient profiles for allergies, drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, and adverse reactions.
  • Provide clinical recommendations to physicians and healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy.
  • Compound and dispense medications in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor patient medication therapy and recommend interventions to improve therapeutic outcomes.
  • Evaluate non-formulary medication requests and recommend cost-effective alternatives when appropriate.
  • Ensure accurate medication preparation, labeling, and timely order verification.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary patient care rounds and discharge planning.
  • Educate patients, pharmacists, technicians, students, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Perform drug information and medication utilization review activities.
  • Assist with medication purchasing, inventory management, recalls, and shortage mitigation.

Requirements

  • Active Arkansas Pharmacist License
  • Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience (New grads with inpatient intern/APPE experience are welcome to apply)
  • IV experience or IV Certification
  • Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS)
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced hospital environment
