Per Diem Clinical Pharmacist | Burlington, North Carolina

An opportunity exists for an experienced Infusion Pharmacist to support a pharmacy operation in Greensboro, NC. This per diem contract position offers immediate assignments with the potential for long-term placement or permanent hire. The role requires a strong background in home infusion and sterile compounding within a patient-focused, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify medication orders for infusion therapies to ensure accuracy and patient safety
• Oversee preparation and dispensing of sterile compounded medications in compliance with USP <797> and <800> standards
• Provide clinical support and drug information to pharmacy staff and patients
• Collaborate closely with the pharmacy team to maintain workflow efficiency
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to regulatory compliance requirements

Schedule:

• Immediate coverage needed on April 8, 9, and 10
• Additional shifts during the week of April 27–May 1, minimum of 2 days
• Further dates expected weekly, with flexibility on assignments

Qualifications:

• Active North Carolina Pharmacist license in good standing
• Recent experience in infusion or home infusion pharmacy practice
• Strong expertise in sterile compounding and familiarity with USP <797>/<800> guidelines
• Ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and contribute to a patient-centered environment

Additional details:

• Not required to serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge unless transitioning to permanent hire
• Willingness to assume Pharmacist-in-Charge responsibilities if hired permanently
• This contract assignment has temp-to-perm potential
