Per Diem Clinical Pharmacist | Butler, Pennsylvania

This part-time position offers 24 hours per week as a Long Term Care Pharmacist in a per diem capacity, supporting skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice clients. The assignment begins with a one-month commitment and may be extended based on need.

Schedule:

• 24 hours per week
• Pharmacy hours: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Review medication orders entered by data entry technicians for accuracy and compliance.
• Verify packaged medications, including blister packs, sterile, and non-sterile compounds.
• Respond to clinical inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians.
• Manage controlled substance inventory through accurate counting and documentation.
• Inspect and maintain emergency medication boxes.

Systems utilized include QS1, Docutrack, and PCC to support daily pharmacy operations.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
• Active pharmacist license in good standing with the state of Pennsylvania.
• Minimum of 1 year pharmacy experience, Long Term Care experience preferred.
• Physical ability to perform duties that include sitting, standing, fine motor skills, visual acuity, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
