Clinical Pharmacist in Cabot, AR

This direct hire position offers day shifts in a state-of-the-art, trauma level 1 facility with a 359-bed capacity, providing care within one of the ten largest pediatric medical providers in the US.

Schedule:

• 8-hour day shifts: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Ideal candidates will have:

• An active Arkansas pharmacy license (temporary license holders or candidates in the licensing process are encouraged to apply)
• Minimum of 2 years inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
• IV experience or IV Certification preferred
• Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) credentials favored
• New graduates are also welcome to apply

Key Responsibilities:

• Compound and dispense prescribed medications in accordance with physician instructions
• Consult with medical staff regarding drug interactions, patient medical histories, and optimized pharmaceutical care
• Provide counseling to patients on medication usage and dosage
• Maintain detailed records to comply with all regulatory and hospital standards
• Verify medication appropriateness based on weight, age, diagnosis, and body surface area
• Identify and intervene in adverse drug reactions, allergies, drug interactions, and therapeutic duplications
• Recommend cost-effective therapies while ensuring efficacy and safety
• Participate actively in patient care, education, training, and discharge planning
• Oversee drug inventory management, orders, substitutions, and coordination with suppliers
• Conduct drug utilization review, monitor food-drug interactions, and provide accurate drug information
