A dynamic opportunity is available for experienced Clinical Pharmacists to support inpatient care at a well-regarded medical center in Ventura County. This contract role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact within a fast-paced hospital pharmacy setting, with potential to transition to permanent employment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert pharmaceutical care and medication management for hospitalized patients
  • Collaborating closely with interdisciplinary medical teams to optimize therapeutic outcomes
  • Reviewing medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and safety
  • Participating in clinical rounds and offering drug information and consultation to staff
  • Managing inventory and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid California Pharmacist license is required
  • Previous inpatient pharmacy experience is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with Cerner pharmacy systems is advantageous; training available for qualified candidates
  • Strong clinical knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills

Schedule & Location:

  • Full-time with predominantly 4-day 10-hour shifts per week; some 8-hour shifts depending on specific pharmacy department
  • Variable shift patterns including swing shifts, occasional weekends, and holiday coverage
  • Role based in a hospital pharmacy facility in Ventura County, CA

This contract assignment is expected to last approximately 3 to 6 months with an ASAP start date. The position can be a temporary placement with the possibility to convert to a permanent role based on performance and mutual fit.
