A clinical pharmacist role is available at a regional health care facility serving a culturally diverse patient population across a large service area. This 13-week contract position starts immediately and involves working 4/10-hour shifts with rotating start times between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm. Weekday and weekend shifts may be assigned, with required availability for holidays as well.
Location: Cameron, AZ – services provided at the main campus and satellite clinics in a unique semi-desert region serving Navajo, Hopi, and Southern Paiute communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive pharmacy and medication management services to neonatal through geriatric patients including oncology and obstetric care.
- Provide direct patient care and participate in inpatient and outpatient clinical pharmacy services.
- Work rotational shifts covering days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Contribute to clinical service development and program administration adhering to organizational policies.
- Serve as Clinic Manager of Operations when designated, providing leadership and supervision to pharmacy staff including pharmacists, technicians, and assistants.
- Maintain compliance with professional and facility standards, including fingerprint clearance prior to start.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited school.
- Unrestricted pharmacy license from any US state, territory, or DC (Arizona license not required).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of two years as a registered pharmacist and at least one year as a clinical pharmacist.
- Ability to work varied shifts and adapt to a dynamic clinical environment.
Additional Information: Limited shared housing is available at $600/month subject to availability. Note that no family members or pets are allowed, per facility policy.
