Clinical Pharmacist | Canby, California

A healthcare facility in Alturas, CA is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for a 13-week contract position, starting ASAP. This role involves working varied schedules that include days, with options of 5 eight-hour shifts or 4 ten-hour shifts, and will require some weekend coverage.

Responsibilities:

• Review and evaluate medication orders for appropriateness and safety.
• Monitor patient medication therapies and clinical outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
• Provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Participate in medication management and quality improvement initiatives.

Desired Experience:

• Licensure as a Pharmacist in the state of California.
• Clinical pharmacy experience, preferably within a hospital or medical center setting.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and drug interactions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Adaptability to varying shift schedules and weekend work.
