Clinical Pharmacist in Carpinteria, CA

An opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist specializing in oncology to serve in an infusion pharmacy setting. This contract position supports multidisciplinary teams and plays a critical role in delivering patient-centered cancer care in Santa Barbara, CA.

Schedule & Location:

• Monday through Friday, day shifts
• Infusion pharmacy environment
• Travel to Santa Barbara required

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with oncology providers to optimize cancer therapy through evidence-based pharmacological approaches
• Educate patients, caregivers, and healthcare teams on cancer treatment plans, potential toxicities, and supportive care strategies
• Monitor and manage adverse drug reactions to ensure patient safety and treatment effectiveness
• Prospectively review patient charts to identify and resolve medication-related issues
• Assess treatment appropriateness and effectiveness based on established guidelines and current literature
• Facilitate access to clinical resources to enhance patient care services
• Personalize drug therapy plans tailored to individual patient needs

Qualifications:

• Valid California Pharmacist license
• Experience in oncology pharmacy, demonstrating competency in cancer therapy management
• Strong knowledge of chemotherapy protocols, toxicity monitoring, and supportive oncology care
• Ability to communicate complex clinical information effectively to multidisciplinary teams and patients
