A contract opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist specializing in oncology pharmacy within an infusion pharmacy setting. This role supports patient-centered care by collaborating with a multidisciplinary oncology team, focusing on cancer therapy education, toxicity monitoring, and supportive care management. Located near Carpinteria, CA, with travel flexibility to Santa Barbara, this position operates Monday through Friday, day shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with oncology providers to inform treatment decisions and maintain adherence to safety protocols.
  • Serve as a pharmacological resource by providing evidence-based cancer therapy options and facilitating access to clinical services.
  • Assess and select appropriate cancer therapies, manage adverse drug reactions, and monitor treatment effectiveness.
  • Prospectively review patient charts to identify and prevent medication-related issues.
  • Evaluate treatment appropriateness using current guidelines and primary literature.
  • Provide education and personalized treatment recommendations to both providers and patients.
  • Monitor medication safety and supportive care for oncology patients.

Qualifications:

  • Valid California Pharmacist license.
  • Experience in oncology pharmacy preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cancer therapies and toxicity management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Excellent communication skills to educate patients and healthcare providers.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • Day shifts
