A clinical pharmacist opportunity is available in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, offering a contract position with the potential to transition to permanent employment. The role requires expertise in oncology pharmacy, specifically chemotherapy, to support specialized patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders with accuracy and attention to detail
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, ensuring workflow efficiency and compliance
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff, providing clinical consultations
• Perform pharmacokinetic assessments to optimize patient therapy
• Utilize EPIC electronic health records for documentation and communication

Qualifications:

• Licensed pharmacist with current chemo/oncology experience preferred
• Valid Iowa pharmacist license or ability to obtain a temporary Iowa pharmacist license
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
• Proficiency with EPIC or similar electronic health record systems is advantageous
