Clinical Pharmacist | Chesapeake, Virginia

An inpatient pharmacist opportunity is available for a 13-week contract starting Monday, April 20, in Chesapeake, VA. Candidates will support clinical pharmacy services in a hospital setting, providing expert medication management and patient care.

Schedule options include:

• Evening shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• Overnight shift: 8:30 PM – 7:30 AM Monday through Thursday, and 7:30 PM – 7:30 AM Friday through Sunday (7 nights on, 7 nights off)

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders and conduct order entry
• Manage intravenous (IV) therapies and pain-controlled analgesia
• Monitor antibiotics and assess drug interactions
• Apply clinical knowledge for chemotherapy, anticoagulation, pharmacokinetic, and renal dosing when required
• Utilize EPIC EMR system for accurate charting and documentation

Essential Qualifications:

• Valid Virginia pharmacist license at time of application (mandatory)
• Minimum of 1 year inpatient pharmacy experience
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system
• Experience with IV therapies, pain control, antibiotics, interactions, and order processing

Preferred Skills:

• Chemotherapy, anticoagulant management, pharmacokinetic dosing, and renal dosing
• Previous travel pharmacy assignments
