Provide expert pharmaceutical care as a Night Pharmacist in a dynamic pediatric hospital setting. This contract opportunity offers a 7-on, 7-off night schedule, ideal for pharmacists seeking focused clinical practice during overnight hours. You will play a critical role in managing medication therapy for pediatric patients while supporting a team currently short-staffed on nights.

Location:

  • Chicago, IL

Schedule:

  • Nights, 9:00 pm to 7:30 am
  • 7 days on, 7 days off

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care to pediatric patients, ensuring safe and effective medication management.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to optimize medication therapy plans.
  • Utilize hospital IT systems including EPIC and Omnicell for medication order verification and inventory management.
  • Accurately perform weight-based dosing calculations specific to pediatric care.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards throughout all pharmacy operations.

Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois Pharmacist license.
  • Proven hospital pharmacy experience with emphasis on pediatric patients.
  • Confidence and proficiency in pediatric dosing and medication safety.
  • Familiarity with EPIC and Omnicell IT systems preferred.
