Clinical Pharmacist in Chicago, IL

A healthcare facility in Chicago, IL, is seeking a skilled Night Pharmacist for a 13-week contract with the potential for extension. This role is ideal for a pharmacist who thrives in a hospital setting and has a strong background in pediatric care, particularly with experience in weight-based dosing.

Location: Chicago, IL
Schedule: Nights, 9:00 PM – 7:30 AM, working 7 days on, 7 days off
Duration: 13 weeks or longer

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical pharmacy services during night shifts in a busy pediatric hospital environment
• Prepare, verify, and dispense medications ensuring patient safety and compliance with protocols
• Collaborate closely with medical, nursing, and other healthcare teams to optimize pediatric patient care
• Utilize EPIC and Omnicell systems for order verification and medication management
• Support pediatric patients and families through accurate, weight-based dosing and medication counseling

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Illinois Pharmacist license required
• Proven hospital pharmacy experience, preferably in a pediatric setting
• Comfortable and experienced with pediatric patients and dosing protocols
• Knowledgeable in using hospital IT systems such as EPIC and Omnicell
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently during night shifts
