Clinical Pharmacist in Chicago, IL

A clinical pharmacist position is available for a 13-week contract starting 6/1 in the Chicago, IL area, west of downtown. This role involves providing essential inpatient pharmacy services during day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, including rotating weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform typical inpatient pharmacy duties such as medication verification and order checking
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow
• Review and check intravenous (IV) medication preparations for accuracy and safety
• Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system to manage patient information and medication orders

Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in inpatient pharmacy settings
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR is required
• Strong knowledge of inpatient pharmacy operations and protocols

Schedule:

• Days: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Rotating weekends
