Clinical Pharmacist in Chicago, IL

A clinical pharmacist opportunity is available at a well-regarded healthcare facility located west of downtown Chicago, specifically serving the Oak Park area. This 13-week contract position begins on June 1st and offers a day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with rotating weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform typical inpatient clinical pharmacy duties, including medication verification and thorough checking processes
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
• Review and check intravenous (IV) preparations to maintain accuracy and patient safety
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system for documentation and medication management

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of one year of recent inpatient clinical pharmacy experience
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams and pharmacy staff

Schedule:

• Day shift: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Rotating weekend shifts required
