This opportunity is for a Clinical Hospital Staff Pharmacist to support an inpatient hospital setting in Chicago, IL. The role involves rotating shifts between first and second shifts over a 13-week contract period, with potential for extension based on performance and organizational need. This position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment, providing clinical pharmacy services to hospitalized patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy care to inpatients across various departments.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy management.
  • Participate in medication reconciliation and ensure the safe administration of therapies.
  • Assist in monitoring patient responses and adjusting drug regimens as necessary.
  • Utilize Cerner electronic medical records system to document and process medication orders.
  • Support oncology services through specialized pharmaceutical care (preferred).

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Illinois pharmacy license required.
  • Strong inpatient clinical pharmacy experience is essential.
  • Oncology pharmacy experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Cerner electronic medical records is a significant plus.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, adapting to first or second shift schedules.

Shift Schedule:

  • Rotating first shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Rotating second shift: 2:30 PM – 10:00 PM
  • Rotating weekends as scheduled
