Clinical Pharmacist | Chicora, Pennsylvania

A Long Term Care Pharmacist position is available for a one-month contract with potential extension, located in Chicora, PA. This full-time role requires 40 hours per week, supporting pharmacy operations Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders entered by data entry technicians for skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice care.
• Inspect blister-packed medications as well as sterile and non-sterile pharmaceuticals.
• Address clinical inquiries by answering calls from nursing facility staff, hospice nurses, and physicians.
• Count controlled substances and maintain accurate records in the perpetual inventory.
• Review and check emergency medication boxes to ensure readiness.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
• Current, active pharmacist license in Pennsylvania in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience, with long-term care expertise preferred.
• Physical requirements include the ability to sit, stand, use fine motor skills, visual acuity, and lift up to 30 pounds.

Experience with QS1, Docutrack, and PCC operating systems is essential to efficiently manage pharmacy technology and operations.
