Clinical Pharmacist - Chowchilla, California

A part-time infusion pharmacist position is available to provide clinical pharmacy support 2-3 days per week. This role offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with immediate start and ongoing opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and evaluate physician prescription orders for dosage accuracy, drug choice, interactions, administration routes, and stability.
• Maintain comprehensive patient records, including up-to-date height, weight, medical history, labs, and concurrent medications.
• Support compliance with state, federal, and accrediting bodies’ documentation requirements.
• Coordinate and assess clinical laboratory tests related to patient medication and nutritional therapies.
• Provide clinical and technical support to physicians, nurses, and patients.
• Assist in developing and implementing pharmacy policies and procedures.
• Supervise pharmacy staff and ensure proper training for technicians and interns.
• Oversee sterile compounding processes and quality assurance programs.
• Document all communications in patient medical records.
• Promote patient and personnel safety through best pharmacy practices.
• Deliver drug therapy education and instructions to patients and caregivers.

Desired Qualifications:

• Strong clinical, IV, and infusion pharmacy experience; prior home infusion experience highly preferred.
• Active California pharmacy license in good standing.
• Familiarity with CareTend pharmacy system.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Willingness to learn and grow professionally; recent graduates with IV/TPN experience through APPEs or internships are encouraged—training is provided.
