Immediate opportunity for a skilled Clinical Pharmacist with expertise in infusion therapies to provide part-time support, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This role is based in Chowchilla, CA, and offers an ongoing assignment with a flexible schedule of 2-3 days per week.
This position welcomes recent graduates who have gained IV/TPN experience during rotations or internships, as comprehensive training will be provided by the director to develop your skills in hospital-based infusion practices. Emphasis is placed on excellent communication, strong teamwork, and a positive attitude—qualities that are highly valued alongside clinical knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate physician orders for appropriate dosage, drug selection, interactions, administration route, and stability
- Maintain comprehensive patient records including medical history, laboratory results, and medication profiles
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accrediting body requirements through meticulous documentation
- Order and interpret clinical lab tests, collaborating with nurses and physicians to optimize medication and nutrition therapy
- Provide clinical and technical support to healthcare professionals and patients
- Assist with policy implementation, staff training, and supervision of pharmacy personnel including sterile compounding and quality assurance processes
- Accurately document all communications regarding patient care within medical records
- Promote patient and staff safety through adherence to best pharmacy practices
- Educate patients and caregivers on drug therapies and infusion management
Qualifications and Experience:
- Strong clinical experience with IV, infusion, and TPN therapies; prior home infusion pharmacy experience preferred
- Active California Pharmacist license in good standing
- Familiarity with CareTend pharmacy system advantageous
- Recent graduates with relevant IV/TPN training encouraged to apply
