Clinical Pharmacist - Chula Vista, CA

A full-time clinical pharmacist position is available for a contract role of 13+ weeks in Chula Vista, CA, specializing in mail order pharmacy operations with a focus on diabetic medical supplies such as continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) and insulin pumps. This unique setting features boxed item fulfillment rather than traditional medication dispensing, demanding careful attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Schedule:

• Pharmacy hours are 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
• Flexibility to stay later if workflow requires

Key Responsibilities:

• Product verification and order fulfillment for diabetic medical supply items
• Collaborate closely with a team including three pharmacists, five technicians, a clerk, and a driver
• Navigate and utilize a complex program system (Brightree), with comprehensive training provided
• Maintain compliance and ensure accuracy throughout the fulfillment process
• Support and communicate effectively with team members to manage workload and patient needs

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Must hold an active California State Pharmacist License in good standing, with no negative history
• Previous experience in mail order and/or retail pharmacy settings preferred, with strong retail filling background emphasized
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team
• Willingness to learn and adapt to specialized pharmacy operations and software systems

• Candidates possessing multiple state licenses may be considered for a temp-to-perm pathway with potential for a site manager role
