A full-time Pharmacist opportunity is available in Chula Vista, CA, specializing in clinical pharmacy within a unique mail order setting. This role supports diabetic medical supply fulfillment, involving continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) and insulin pumps rather than traditional medications. The position requires strong retail filling experience and excellent communication skills to ensure smooth operation within a collaborative team.

Location:

  • Chula Vista, CA (2084 Otay Lake Road, 91913)

Schedule:

  • Pharmacy hours from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with potential for extended hours to complete workload

Responsibilities:

  • Verify products accurately to maintain quality and compliance
  • Fulfill orders involving boxed diabetic supply items, including CGMs and insulin pumps
  • Collaborate closely with pharmacy technicians and support staff; tech support is always available
  • Navigate and learn a complex program system (Brighttree) for order processing and management

Qualifications:

  • Current, valid California State Pharmacist License in good standing with no negative history
  • Demonstrated retail filling experience preferred, with mail order background considered a strong asset
  • Strong communication skills to effectively work within a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a specialized pharmacy environment and technology systems

Additional Information:

  • The pharmacy team consists of 3 pharmacists, 5 technicians, a clerk, and a driver
  • Volume averages around 20 orders daily, allowing for quality fulfillment time
  • Candidates with multiple state licenses will be considered for a temp-to-perm Site Manager opportunity
  • This contract opportunity requires an immediate start and offers comprehensive training on proprietary systems
