Clinical Pharmacist in Chula Vista, CA

A full-time opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist experienced in retail or mail order pharmacy, supporting a specialized diabetic medical supply mail order pharmacy. This role involves working with continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) and insulin pumps to fulfill patient orders.

Location:

• Chula Vista, CA (2084 Otay Lake Road, 91913)

Schedule:

• Pharmacy Hours: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (may extend until 8:00 PM if tasks require completion)

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify product accuracy and completeness for mailing
• Box and fulfill orders involving CGMs and insulin pumps with care and attention to detail
• Collaborate closely with pharmacy technicians, clerks, and drivers to ensure smooth workflow
• Utilize and learn the Brightree program system for order processing
• Communicate effectively with team members to maintain high standards of service

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid CA State Pharmacist License in good standing without negative history (required)
• Previous experience in mail order or retail pharmacy settings preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills essential
• Ability to adapt quickly to a unique processing system and specialized product handling

Additional Details:

• The pharmacy maintains a moderate volume (~20 boxed items daily), focusing on precise and attentive packing rather than high volume work
• Technician support provided throughout shifts; pharmacists will not be working alone
• Candidates holding multiple licenses will be considered for a potential temp-to-perm site manager role
