Clinical Staff Pharmacist - Chula Vista, California

A unique opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist experienced in retail and mail order pharmacy settings. This contract role is based in Chula Vista, CA, at a specialized diabetic medical supply mail order pharmacy that handles boxed items such as Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGMs) and insulin pumps. This non-traditional pharmacy environment offers a hands-on role with approximately 20 orders daily, ensuring a busy but manageable workload.

Location:

• 2084 Otay Lake Road, Chula Vista, CA 91913

Schedule:

• Pharmacy hours: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with potential for staying until 8 PM if workload requires

Key Responsibilities:

• Product verification and quality assurance
• Fulfillment and preparation of boxed diabetic medical supplies
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including tech support, pharmacy technicians, clerks, and drivers
• Navigate and utilize the specialized Brighttree program system with provided training
• Maintain excellent communication and foster teamwork within the pharmacy environment

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid and active California State Pharmacist License with a clean professional record
• Previous experience in mail order or retail pharmacy preferred
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to work
• Ability to manage workflow efficiently in a dynamic setting
