Clinical Pharmacist in Cicero, IL

An opportunity is available for a Night Pharmacist to provide critical clinical pharmacy services in a busy pediatric hospital setting. This role requires a licensed pharmacist with strong hospital experience and the ability to confidently manage pediatric patients on a night schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Manage medication dispensing and verification during night shifts (9:00 PM – 7:30 AM) on a 7 days on, 7 days off rotation
• Provide clinical support for pediatric patients, including weight-based dosing and specialized medication therapy management
• Utilize hospital IT systems such as EPIC and Omnicell to optimize medication safety and accuracy
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective pharmaceutical care and patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and regulatory requirements during overnight hours

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Illinois Pharmacist license in good standing
• Significant hospital pharmacy experience, particularly in pediatric settings
• Comfortable and skilled in pediatric dosing strategies and clinical considerations
• Familiarity with EPIC and Omnicell systems preferred
• Ability to work independently during night shifts and adapt to fast-paced, dynamic environments

Schedule:

• Night shift from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Work 7 consecutive nights followed by 7 nights off
