An opportunity is available for a Night Pharmacist to provide critical clinical pharmacy services in a busy pediatric hospital setting. This role requires a licensed pharmacist with strong hospital experience and the ability to confidently manage pediatric patients on a night schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Manage medication dispensing and verification during night shifts (9:00 PM – 7:30 AM) on a 7 days on, 7 days off rotation
- Provide clinical support for pediatric patients, including weight-based dosing and specialized medication therapy management
- Utilize hospital IT systems such as EPIC and Omnicell to optimize medication safety and accuracy
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective pharmaceutical care and patient outcomes
- Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and regulatory requirements during overnight hours
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Illinois Pharmacist license in good standing
- Significant hospital pharmacy experience, particularly in pediatric settings
- Comfortable and skilled in pediatric dosing strategies and clinical considerations
- Familiarity with EPIC and Omnicell systems preferred
- Ability to work independently during night shifts and adapt to fast-paced, dynamic environments

- Night shift from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Work 7 consecutive nights followed by 7 nights off
