Clinical Pharmacist in Cicero, IL

An inpatient clinical pharmacist role is available for a 13-week contract starting June 8, supporting a hospital setting with a strong focus on acute care pharmacy services. This position involves a rotating schedule of five 8-hour shifts weekly, alternating between day shifts (6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) and evening shifts (2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.), including rotation every third weekend.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage inpatient medication therapy with a focus on pharmacotherapeutic needs for various medical conditions
• Perform pharmacokinetic and renal dosing adjustments
• Monitor therapeutic medications for efficacy and safety
• Participate in drug shortage management and ensure optimal use of available medications
• Collaborate with healthcare teams using the EPIC electronic medical record system

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years recent inpatient or acute care pharmacy experience required
• Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacokinetic dosing and therapeutic medication monitoring
• Experience with renal dosing and managing drug shortages in a hospital setting
• Valid Wisconsin pharmacy license; ACT-10 licensure is acceptable

Important Information:

• Travelers must be clean-shaven to pass mask fit testing; use of personal powered air-purifying respirators (PAPRs) or controlled air-purifying respirators (CAPRs) is not permitted, and these are not provided on site
• Scrubs will be provided upon start of employment
