Clinical Pharmacist - Cicero, Illinois

A contract opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist with a focus on inpatient care at a hospital located west of downtown Chicago. This position begins on June 1st and runs for approximately 13 weeks. The work schedule includes day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with rotating weekend assignments.

Responsibilities:

• Perform typical inpatient pharmacy duties such as medication checking and verification.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure accurate and efficient medication distribution.
• Verify intravenous (IV) medication preparations according to established protocols.
• Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system effectively in daily operations.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of one year of recent experience in an inpatient pharmacy setting.
• Proficiency in clinical pharmacy practices and medication management.
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR system is required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Schedule/Hours:

• Day shift: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Rotating weekends
