Clinical Pharmacist in Cicero, IL

A contract opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist to support inpatient pharmacy operations at a major medical center. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive pharmacy services during the overnight shift, ensuring patient safety and effective medication management in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Location:

• Cicero, IL

Schedule/Hours:

• Overnight shifts, 4x10-hour shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Contract duration: 13 weeks, starting June 15

Responsibilities:

• Perform typical inpatient pharmacy duties, including medication checking and verification
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure accurate preparation and distribution of medications
• Verify and check intravenous (IV) medications to maintain compliance and safety standards
• Collaborate closely with healthcare teams using the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system to support patient care

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient pharmacy experience required
• Proficiency with EPIC or similar EMR systems preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently during overnight hours
• Excellent communication and supervisory skills for managing pharmacy staff effectively
