Clinical Pharmacist - Cicero, IL

An opportunity is available for a knowledgeable Clinical Pharmacist to support inpatient pharmacy operations at a prominent medical center. This contract role focuses on delivering high-quality pharmacy services during overnight shifts, perfect for professionals with recent inpatient experience and proficiency with EPIC EMR systems.

Location:

• Cicero, IL

Schedule:

• Overnight shifts, 4 days per week
• 10-hour shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Contract duration: 13 weeks, starting June 15

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and check medications for inpatient orders with precision and attention to detail
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure workflow efficiency and compliance
• Oversee intravenous (IV) admixture preparation and verification to maintain safety standards
• Collaborate closely with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy
• Utilize EPIC EMR system effectively for order entry and documentation

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum of one year recent experience as a clinical pharmacist in an inpatient setting
• Strong knowledge of medication verification, IV preparation, and pharmacy operational processes
• Experience supervising pharmacy technicians preferred
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system
• Ability to work independently and manage overnight shift responsibilities efficiently
