Clinical Pharmacist - Citrus Heights, CA

Provide expert clinical pharmacy services in infusion therapy within a collaborative healthcare environment. This full-time position involves delivering high-touch patient care and overseeing pharmacy operations to ensure optimal clinical outcomes.

Location: Citrus Heights, CA
Schedule:

• Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• On-call rotation every 3rd weekend

Responsibilities:

• Compound, dispense, and clinically monitor infusion therapies prescribed by licensed medical professionals.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal pharmacy laws and accrediting regulations.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff, maintaining adherence to regulatory standards.
• Collaborate seamlessly with nursing, admissions, reimbursement, sales, and marketing teams to enhance patient care and service efficiency.
• Participate actively in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement initiatives.
• Support training and orientation for new staff and may precept pharmacy interns.
• Serve as a clinical resource to sales and marketing, assisting with clinical reviews and presentations.
• Manage procurement and inventory control in line with company policies.
• Engage in product selection and clinical services committees as needed.
• Support reimbursement processes by ensuring accurate insurance authorization and documentation.
• Participate in pharmacy on-call duties to maintain continuous service coverage.
• Maintain detailed clinical records, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements for controlled substances.
• Uphold USP 797 and USP 800 standards and follow current State Board of Pharmacy regulations.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist
• Experience in infusion pharmacy highly preferred; specialty pharmacy experience considered
• Strong knowledge of clinical pharmacy practices and regulatory standards
• Proficient with CPR+/CareTend systems
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
