Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist - Clinton, NY

Inpatient Pharmacist opportunity available for a direct hire role in a hospital setting located in Utica, NY. This position offers a day and afternoon schedule, providing a balanced work environment within a dynamic healthcare facility.

As an Inpatient Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. Responsibilities include verifying and accurately dispensing medications, monitoring patient profiles to identify potential drug interactions or allergies, and providing drug information to healthcare providers. You will also perform sterile compounding, including IV admixtures, in compliance with USP guidelines, and support pharmacy operations such as inventory management and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and dispense medications with accuracy, including controlled substances and IV medications
• Monitor patient medication profiles for interactions, allergies, and potential issues
• Provide timely drug information and clinical support to healthcare teams
• Prepare sterile products and IV admixtures following USP standards
• Maintain inventory, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and keep the workspace organized and clean

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Active NY Pharmacist License is required
• Completion of PGY1 residency or strong inpatient hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Knowledge of hospital inpatient pharmacy operations and sterile compounding standards
