A Specialty Compounding Pharmacy is seeking a Sterile Compounding Pharmacist to support personalized pharmaceutical preparations tailored to individual patient needs. This 13-week contract to hire opportunity requires a dedicated professional to ensure compliance with rigorous standards in both sterile and non-sterile compounding environments.
Working under the Pharmacy Supervisor’s direction, you will collaborate with production teams to maintain adherence to federal and state regulations. Your expertise will ensure the safety, accuracy, and quality of bespoke compounded medications, while also providing guidance and counseling on compounded prescriptions and over-the-counter products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify accuracy and compliance of sterile and non-sterile compounded preparations according to master formula worksheets.
- Implement and adhere to SOPs and policies aligned with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> standards.
- Enforce cleaning and garbing procedures consistently.
- Perform necessary calculations and complete documentation accurately.
- Operate production and computerized equipment following company protocols.
- Prepare work areas thoroughly and apply appropriate aseptic techniques.
- Conduct quality control tests to confirm purity, potency, and quality of compounded medications.
- Stay current with emerging compounding techniques, formulations, and technology.
- Support prescription dispensing personnel and assist operations to ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintain excellent attendance as it is critical to this role.
Shift Options:
- Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Monday – Friday, 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM (may be assigned post-training)
