Clinical Pharmacist in Coatesville, PA

A specialty compounding pharmacy is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to support both sterile and non-sterile production areas ensuring the accurate preparation of personalized pharmaceutical compounds. This 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity offers critical experience in a highly regulated environment focused on patient-specific medication needs. Flexible scheduling options are available with potential shift assignments post-training.

Location: Coatesville, PA
Schedule:

• Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm or 9:00am - 5:30pm
• Monday - Friday, 10:30am - 7:00pm (may be assigned after training)

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and verify compounded sterile and non-sterile preparations for accuracy and adherence to master formula worksheets
• Implement and enforce SOPs and policies for compounding to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance
• Ensure compliance with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> guidelines
• Oversee cleaning and garbing procedures per company policy
• Perform necessary calculations and maintain accurate documentation
• Operate all production equipment correctly, utilizing appropriate aseptic techniques
• Prepare work areas thoroughly before production begins
• Conduct quality control tests and inspections on compounded medications
• Stay current on new compounding techniques, formulations, and technologies
• Provide patient care and counseling on compounded, prescription, and OTC medications
• Maintain strict attendance—reliability is essential for this role

Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist license
• Recent pharmacy experience
• Strong background in sterile compounding
