Clinical Pharmacist - Coatesville, Pennsylvania

A specialty compounding pharmacy is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to support their sterile and non-sterile production departments. Under the guidance of the Pharmacy Supervisor, you will ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while overseeing the accurate preparation of personalized pharmaceutical compounds tailored to patients’ specific needs. This position offers a 13-week contract to hire opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure sterile and non-sterile compounded preparations comply with master formula worksheets and regulatory standards.
• Implement and follow SOPs and policies to maintain patient safety and regulatory compliance.
• Adhere to USP <795>, <797>, and <800> guidelines relevant to compounding activities.
• Conduct cleaning, garbing, and aseptic techniques according to company policies.
• Perform accurate calculations, documentation, and operate production equipment.
• Prepare work areas prior to production and monitor computerized equipment for quality assurance.
• Verify the quality, purity, and potency of compounded medications through quality control testing.
• Stay current on new compounding methods, formulations, and technology.
• Provide patient care and counseling on compounded, prescription, and over-the-counter medications.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist in Pennsylvania.
• Recent pharmacy experience with a background in sterile compounding is required.
• Open to new graduates with relevant training and certifications.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, shifts available from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, or 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM.
