A specialized opportunity awaits at a leading compounding pharmacy focused on creating bespoke pharmaceutical preparations tailored to patients’ unique needs. This Contract to Hire role spans 13 weeks and involves working under the direction of the Pharmacy Supervisor within both Sterile and Non-Sterile Production departments. Your expertise will help ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations while supporting prescription dispensing and patient counseling.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring accuracy and compliance of sterile and non-sterile compounded preparations in line with master formula worksheets.
- Following and enforcing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies to maintain patient safety.
- Ensuring adherence to USP <795>, <797>, and <800> guidelines.
- Maintaining proper cleaning and garbing procedures.
- Performing necessary calculations and thorough documentation.
- Operating production and technical equipment in accordance with company policies.
- Preparing work areas and using appropriate aseptic techniques.
- Conducting quality control tests to verify medication quality, purity, and potency.
- Staying updated on advances in compounding techniques and pharmacy practices.
- Providing patient care and counseling on compounded, prescription, and over-the-counter medications.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Licensed Pharmacist in Pennsylvania.
- Experience in sterile compounding (recent experience preferred).
- Open to recent graduates eager to develop compounding expertise.
- Detail-oriented with strong compliance focus.
Schedule Options:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm or 9:00 am – 5:30 pm.
- Monday to Friday, 10:30 am – 7:00 pm (may be assigned).
