Two direct hire opportunities for Clinical Pharmacists with expertise in narcotics and controlled substances are available in Columbus, OH, at a growing closed-door Long Term Care pharmacy. This site offers a professional environment focused on specialized medication management and patient safety.

Schedule Options:

  • 2nd Shift, Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM, every other weekend off
  • 2nd Shift, 7 days on/7 days off, 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM

Start as soon as possible. Candidates must have an active Ohio pharmacist license in hand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor controlled drug (narcotics) handling and compliance.
  • Review medication orders to ensure appropriate drug selection, dosages, and administration.
  • Recommend therapy adjustments in collaboration with physicians and facility staff.
  • Maintain comprehensive patient records, including medical, clinical, and lab data.
  • Resolve medication-related inquiries and communicate effectively with healthcare teams.
  • Supervise and oversee medication preparation processes.
  • Maintain legal and stock control registers for controlled substances.
  • Ensure secure storage and handling of all medications.
  • Participate in on-call rotations as needed.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Active Ohio pharmacist license.
  • Proven experience with controlled substance management.
  • Strong clinical knowledge in medication evaluation and therapy optimization.
  • Excellent communication skills with healthcare providers.
  • Ability to manage responsibility autonomously and in a team environment.
