Join a growing closed-door Long Term Care pharmacy operation in Columbus, OH, as a Clinical Pharmacist specializing in controlled substances. This direct hire opportunity offers two 2nd shift positions with distinct schedules designed for work-life balance.

Schedule Options:

  • Position 1: Monday to Friday, 5x8-hour shifts from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM, every other weekend required
  • Position 2: 7 days on/7 days off, Monday to Sunday from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and evaluate medication orders, focusing on controlled drugs (narcotics), ensuring proper drug selection, dosage, and administration
  • Recommend therapy adjustments to physicians and facility staff based on clinical assessments
  • Maintain comprehensive patient databases including medical history, clinical, and laboratory information
  • Address and resolve medication-related inquiries in collaboration with nursing staff, physicians, and healthcare teams
  • Supervise medication preparation procedures complying with safety and regulatory standards
  • Maintain accurate registers for controlled substances in line with legal and stock control requirements
  • Ensure security protocols for medication storage and handling are rigorously followed
  • Participate in “on-call” rotations as necessary to support facility needs

Qualifications:

  • Valid Ohio Pharmacist license in-hand is mandatory
  • Proven experience handling controlled drug inventory and related responsibilities
  • Proficiency with the Frameworks pharmacy system preferred
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with medical personnel
