An opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist to provide specialized pharmacy services across multiple critical care units, including the Emergency Department (ED) and Critical Care Unit (CCU), while contributing to the antibiotic stewardship team. This role offers a dynamic clinical environment, allowing for expanded clinical expertise beyond a single specialty area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter and verify medication orders while reviewing profiles for appropriateness.
  • Deliver clinical pharmacy services tailored to patient needs within ED and ICU settings.
  • Collaborate actively in multidisciplinary rounds and teams relevant to assigned practice areas.
  • Monitor drug therapy and manage pharmacist consults according to established protocols.
  • Participate in acute patient care scenarios such as cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma, providing expert clinical support.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
  • Completion of PGY-1 residency or a minimum of three years of current clinical pharmacy experience.
  • PA pharmacist license is preferred but not mandatory; candidates from other states encouraged to apply with the ability to obtain licensure.

Location & Work Schedule:

  • Position located in State College, PA, a vibrant collegiate community known for its scenic environment and home to Penn State University.
  • Variable scheduling primarily consisting of day shifts with 8-hour shifts.
