A direct hire opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist who will serve as a unit-based pharmacist working across both the Emergency Department (ED) and Critical Care Unit (CCU), as well as participating on the antibiotic stewardship team. This role offers the advantage of expanding clinical expertise by providing services on multiple units rather than being limited to a single floor, which is common in larger hospitals.

Location: This position is based in a vibrant area of Pennsylvania, home to a renowned university and beautiful surroundings, offering a great quality of life.

Schedule:

  • Primarily day shifts
  • Variable days/afternoons
  • 8-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter and verify medication orders, review medication profiles for appropriateness, and provide clinical services tailored to specific patient populations.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and team meetings as assigned per practice area.
  • Conduct drug therapy monitoring and pharmacist-managed consults according to established protocols.
  • Engage in acute patient care scenarios such as cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma to support ED and critical care services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required.
  • PGY1 residency or a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience.
  • Licensed pharmacist in Pennsylvania or eligible to obtain licensure.
  • Experience with Meditech or similar healthcare IT systems preferred.
