Per Diem Clinical Pharmacist - Coraopolis, Pennsylvania

A Part-Time Long Term Care Pharmacist role is available for a dedicated professional to provide expert pharmaceutical services on a per diem basis. This position requires 24 hours per week, covering pharmacy operations Monday through Friday, 8 am to 6 pm, with an initial assignment timeline of one month and potential for extension.

Location: Coraopolis, PA

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders entered by data entry technicians for skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice care.
• Review blister-packed medications, as well as sterile and non-sterile pharmaceutical preparations.
• Respond to inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians, providing clinical guidance.
• Accurately count controlled substances and maintain detailed documentation within the perpetual inventory system.
• Conduct regular checks of emergency medication boxes.
• Utilize pharmacy operating systems including QS1, Docutrack, and PCC to support daily workflow.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.
• Active pharmacist license in Pennsylvania, with a record in good standing.
• Minimum of one year of pharmacist experience, preferably in Long Term Care.
• Physical capability to sit, stand, perform fine motor tasks, maintain visual acuity, and lift up to 30 pounds.
