Per Diem Clinical Pharmacist - Coraopolis, PA

A healthcare facility is seeking a skilled Clinical Pharmacist to provide expert pharmacy services on a per diem basis in the long-term care setting. This role involves working 24 hours per week, primarily focused on serving skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice care providers.

Location: Coraopolis, PA
Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• 24 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify medication orders entered by data entry technicians for accuracy and compliance
• Check blister-packed, sterile, and non-sterile medications to ensure proper dispensing
• Respond to clinical inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians
• Maintain and document control substances inventory through counting and perpetual record-keeping
• Verify and check emergency medication boxes for completeness and accuracy

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
• Current and active pharmacist license in Pennsylvania, in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year pharmacist experience, with preference for long-term care (LTC) exposure
• Proficiency with pharmacy software systems such as QS1, Docutrack, and PCC
• Physical ability to perform tasks involving sitting, standing, visual acuity, fine motor skills, and lifting up to 30 pounds
