A clinical pharmacist position is available to provide critical inpatient pharmacy services in a dynamic hospital setting. This 13-week contract assignment involves working a 7-on/7-off schedule from 8:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. in Corrales, NM, with responsibilities spanning multiple campuses.
Key responsibilities include:
- Dispensing medications accurately and efficiently within the inpatient pharmacy
- Utilizing automation technologies such as Pyxis and Carousel for medication management
- Supervising pharmacy technicians and verifying their work to ensure compliance and safety
- Supporting medication preparation, with IV experience considered a strong asset
- Collaborating to provide pharmacy coverage across both Women’s and Westside campus locations as needed
Qualifications and experience desired:
- NM pharmacy license active and in good standing
- Minimum of one year inpatient pharmacy practice experience
- Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically EPIC, to document and verify medication orders
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts and function well in fast-paced environments
- Open to pharmacists pursuing their first travel assignment
