Clinical Pharmacist in Cottage Grove, MN

An opportunity is available for an experienced Overnight Pharmacist to support a hospital pharmacy team on a full-time 3-month contract. This role operates on a 7 days on / 7 days off schedule, working 10-hour overnight shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Local candidates in the Cottage Grove, MN area are preferred, with travel pharmacists also considered—travel stipends offered for qualified individuals.

• 7 days on / 7 days off

Responsibilities

• Serve as the overnight pharmacist at the primary hospital site
• Provide remote after-hours order verification support for three additional hospitals
• Process overnight prescriptions for ambulatory care and hospice patients
• Respond to clinical emergencies including Code Blue (CPR), Rapid Response Team, and Code Stroke activations
• Support clinical care for a Level II nursery (neonates down to 34 weeks gestation)

Primary Workflow Duties

• Order verification and drug information consults across multiple sites
• Sterile IV compounding and preparation during overnight shifts independently
• Cart fill, Pyxis refill, and inventory management
• Pharmacokinetic dosing, monitoring, and anticoagulation management

Qualifications / Desired Experience

• Active Minnesota Pharmacist license required
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system highly preferred
• Familiarity with Epic Willow Ambulatory (WAMB) prescription processing a plus
• Experience with Pyxis ES and BD Pyxis Logistics preferred
• Recent hospital or health-system pharmacy experience strongly preferred
