This opportunity is for a Long Term Care Pharmacist to provide clinical pharmacy services in a supportive, professional environment. This contract role offers a one-month assignment with the possibility of extension and requires 40 hours per week.

Location: Cranberry Township, PA
Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
  • Saturday: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
  • Sunday: 8:00 am – 3:00 pm

Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify orders entered by data entry technicians for skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice care.
  • Check blister-packed medications as well as sterile and non-sterile preparations for accuracy and compliance.
  • Respond to inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians, offering clinical guidance.
  • Count and document controlled substances in the perpetual inventory as per regulatory standards.
  • Inspect emergency medication boxes for completeness and compliance.
  • Utilize operating systems such as QS1, Docutrack, and PCC to manage pharmacy workflows.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
  • Active Pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania, in good standing.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a pharmacist; Long Term Care experience is preferred.
  • Excellent visual acuity and fine motor skills, with the ability to sit, stand, and lift up to 30 pounds as required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
