Clinical Pharmacist | Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania

A Long Term Care Pharmacist role is available for a contract assignment in Cranberry Township, PA. This opportunity involves contributing to the care of skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice patients through accurate medication management and professional communication.

Assignment Timeline:

• 1 month with possible extension

Schedule/Hours:

• 40 hours per week
• Pharmacy hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Sunday 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify medication orders entered by data entry technicians for long-term care settings
• Check blister-packed, sterile, and non-sterile medications for accuracy and compliance
• Respond to clinical inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians
• Maintain control substance counts and document in the perpetual inventory
• Inspect emergency medication boxes for completeness and expiration
• Utilize operating systems including QS1, Docutrack, and PCC for daily tasks

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
• Active pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a pharmacist; Long Term Care experience preferred
• Physical ability to sit, stand, use fine motor skills, maintain visual acuity, and lift up to 30 pounds
