Clinical Pharmacist | Cypress, Texas

A clinical pharmacist opportunity is available to work overnight shifts at a specialized women’s health facility. This 14-week contract assignment starts on 5/18, offering a consistent 7-on/7-off schedule from 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM. The role requires expertise using EPIC EMR and a strong commitment to patient-centered pharmaceutical care across a wide patient age range (newborn to adult).

Responsibilities include managing the entire medication process to identify and prevent any drug-related problems. You will review and verify medication doses based on diagnosis, weight, allergies, and interactions, aiming for zero medication incidents. Accurate entry and processing of medication orders, adherence to aseptic technique, and infection control during sterile product preparation are essential. Pharmacists are expected to uphold these standards while ensuring compliance with hospital policies and contributing to a safe medication environment.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Minimum 2+ years inpatient pharmacy experience, preferably in pediatrics
• Active Texas Pharmacist license
• ACPE IV Certification
• Demonstrated knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control procedures with a strong track record of medication safety
• Proficient with EPIC electronic medical records system

Schedule:

• Overnight shift: 7:30 PM – 7:30 AM
• Work 7 days consecutively, then 7 days off
