A clinical pharmacist opportunity is available for overnight shifts at a women's healthcare facility in Cypress, TX. This 14-week contract role begins on May 18 and requires working seven consecutive nights followed by seven days off, from 7:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The position utilizes EPIC as its electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the medication process to promote safe and effective pharmaceutical care.
  • Identify and resolve potential and actual drug-related issues tailored to patient ages ranging from neonatal to adult.
  • Verify the appropriateness of medication doses considering diagnosis, weight/body surface area, allergies, and drug interactions.
  • Accurately enter medication orders into the computer system ensuring error-free documentation.
  • Ensure timely processing and delivery of medication doses according to established guidelines.
  • Adhere to aseptic technique and infection control standards during sterile product preparation and enforce these standards among pharmacy staff.
  • Complete annual aseptic technique and infection control re-certification with a minimum score of 90%.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Pharmacy licensure in Texas is required.
  • Current ACPE IV Certification is mandatory.
  • At least 2+ years of inpatient pharmacy experience, preferably in pediatrics.
  • Strong knowledge of aseptic preparation and infection control procedures.
  • Experience working with children’s hospital protocols is beneficial.

  • Cypress, TX (Pavilion for Women site).
