This opportunity is for a Pharmacist position based in an outpatient/infusion center pharmacy setting, focusing on oncology care. Candidates will engage with a patient population primarily consisting of oncology patients, making experience with chemotherapy and oncology highly valuable. This position offers a Temp-to-Hire arrangement, with an immediate start and an initial duration of approximately 13 weeks.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- Day shifts
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Verifying medication orders with accuracy and attention to detail
- Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth pharmacy operations
- Consulting and collaborating effectively with physicians and nursing staff regarding patient medication therapy and safety
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Florida Pharmacist license required
- Experience with chemotherapy and oncology, whether in outpatient infusion or inpatient settings, strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with healthcare teams
