A Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist opportunity is available on a 13-week contract basis at a hospital in the New Orleans area, starting June 2. This position focuses on providing expert pharmaceutical care in the Cardiovascular ICU and Medical ICU2, working day shifts from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on an every-other-week schedule.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering clinical pharmacy services within the ICU to optimize patient medication therapy
- Applying critical care knowledge to manage complex cases, particularly in a Level 1 trauma setting
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective use of medications
- Utilizing EPIC electronic medical records for documentation and order management
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- At least 1 year of recent experience as a Critical Care/Clinical Pharmacist in a Level 1 trauma hospital
- PGY-2 residency preferred but not mandatory
- Active Louisiana pharmacist license in hand
- Board certification is advantageous
- Willingness to work as a first-time traveler is welcome
