Clinical Pharmacist in Denham Springs, LA

A healthcare facility in Louisiana is seeking an experienced Critical Care / Clinical Pharmacist for a 13-week contract to support their Cardiovascular ICU and Medical ICU2 units. This position offers the opportunity to provide essential clinical pharmacy services in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, primarily working day shifts on an every-other-week basis.

Location:

• Denham Springs, LA (proximity to Metairie/New Orleans)

Schedule:

• Days, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Every other week (EOW)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical pharmacy support to CV ICU and Medical ICU2 patients
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize medication therapy for critically ill patients
• Review, assess, and document drug therapies utilizing the EPIC electronic medical record system
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and standards in a Level 1 trauma setting

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• At least 1 year of recent experience as a Critical Care/Clinical Pharmacist, specifically in a Level 1 trauma center environment
• Prior experience with EPIC EMR required
• Board Certification preferred but not mandatory
• Louisiana pharmacist license in-hand
• PGY-2 residency highly preferred but not required
• Open to first-time travel pharmacists willing to relocate temporarily
