Clinical Pharmacist - Des Plaines, Illinois

A clinical pharmacist opportunity is available in Des Plaines, IL, supporting a prominent healthcare facility west of downtown Chicago. This 13-week contract position begins on June 1 and offers a day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with rotating weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform typical inpatient pharmacy duties, including medication checking and verification
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure accurate and efficient workflow
• Review and check intravenous (IV) preparations for safety and compliance
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) system EPIC to document and track patient information

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of one year of recent inpatient clinical pharmacy experience
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR or similar healthcare information systems
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills

Schedule:

• Day shift: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Rotating weekend coverage required
