This opportunity is for a Clinical Hospital Staff Pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical care in an inpatient hospital setting. The position involves rotating between first and second shifts with a schedule designed to support comprehensive patient care over a 13-week contract, with the possibility of extension based on performance and organizational needs.

Location:

• Des Plaines, Illinois

Schedule:

• Rotating first and second shifts:
  • 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • 2:30 PM to 10:00 PM
• Rotating weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver clinical pharmacy services within an inpatient environment, ensuring optimal medication management.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement patient-specific therapeutic plans.
• Monitor patient responses to medications and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Utilize the Cerner system for accurate documentation and communication.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards and hospital policies.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Illinois pharmacy license required.
• Strong inpatient clinical experience is highly desired.
• Oncology pharmacy experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with the Cerner electronic health record system is a significant plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented hospital environment.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts and weekends.
